You will pass the “world time clock” and the popular Humboldt University, the national Opera and finally the “Museumsinsel” which is an ensemble of famous museums and a Unesco world heritage sight. The “Friedrichsstrasse” is nowadays a shopping street with shopping centers such as the Lafayette gallery and high class shops. To one direction it leads to the former “Checkpoint Charlie” and to the other direction to the “Oranienburger Strasse”.

The “Gendarmenmarkt” is one of Berlin’s most beautiful squares. Also located here is the “Schauspielhaus” theater, the German and the French Dome.
